| €999

Welcome to your wellbeing in the beautiful setting of Koh Samui, Thailand!

This is an in-depth intensive where we will go beyond the concepts of doshas (body types) to explore the deeper aspects of Ayurveda and how they apply to our yoga practice, relationships, lifestyle and health. This retreat will provide many insights for all seekers of health and happiness. It also offers yoga teachers the opportunity to become holistic yoga therapists through the knowledge of the Ayurvedic principles which inspire true individuality. The unique method of Anusara Yoga provides a vibrant and highly therapeutic approach to the practice of yoga, utilising asana (physical postures) as a tool to transform not only the body, but also to create new attitudinal patterns and cultivate the personal qualities that enhance our lives.
Barbra and Kimmana are highly experienced teachers and are specialists in their respective fields. This retreat opens a whole new world of healing through yoga and explores the art of living holistically.

Ayurveda & Lifestyle lectures

Ayurveda is a 3000 years old holistic medical system from India used to preserve health and prevent illness. The word Ayurveda can be separated in two parts: ‘Ayur’ and ‘Veda’. ‘Ayur’ translates as life, longevity or the preservation of life. ‘Veda’ translates as knowledge or science. Ayurveda addresses our health comprehensively when diagnosing, treating disease or preventing further illness. In his “Ayurveda & Lifestyle” lectures, Kimmana, an internationally trained and experienced naturopath and Ayurvedic practitioner, will teach the fundamentals of Ayurveda and show you how to increase your overall health and wellness by applying them to your daily life.

Accommodation

We will be staying at the beautiful eco-friendly yoga retreat centre Samahita located on the south coast of Koh Samui, right on the beach. Koh Samui is a tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand that boasts long stretches of pristine beach and unspoiled land.

Samahita is located in a quiet area off the beaten track, with plenty of privacy and comfort, in lush green surroundings, yet still close to markets and amenities. The retreat centre is directly on the beach, with many rooms that have ocean views. The island of Koh Samui  has many attractions, including waterfalls and temples.

In your free time you can relax at the swimming pool, detox in the steam room or meditate in the meditation garden. The swimming pool is right by the beach with plenty of sun beds. As it is a saltwater pool, it is as close to natural as possible and much  gentler on eyes, hair, skin, and internal organs than chlorinated water. The steam room looks out to the beach and uses a combination of thirty Thai herbs, plants, and spices gathered locally on Samui. The meditation garden has a large bodhi tree and beautiful pond with large lotus flowers open for you to enjoy.

The luxurious guestrooms are set back 50 meters from the sea and are perfect for quiet contemplation and relaxation. The eco-friendly buildings make use of cross ventilation, natural light, rainwater harvesting, and solar power. Regardless of which room you stay in, the yoga shala, restaurant and lounge, swimming pool, and beach are only one minute away.
WIFI is available in all rooms.

The beach is safe but due to rocks not suitable for swimming.
