Madhuri Martin
From childhood, I was a seeker and philosopher, captivated with the extraordinary clarity that I experienced while constantly immersed in the natural world. Pushing myself deeper into rarified states of sublime comprehension, yoga entered my life in 1986.
In 1989 I began serious continued study with Richard Freeman and K. Pattabhi Jois. In 1998, I attended my first Anusara Workshop with John Friend, and traveled as his main assistant for the next seven years. In 1999 I began my studies with the brilliant author and master of eloquence and story-telling, Martin Prechtel, and in 2006 I joined forces with extraordinary poet, author and provocateur, Judyth Hill. As “The Dharma Queens” we travel internationally teaching poetry, speaking, writing and yoga to students and teachers wishing to find their authentic voice, spirituality, nobility and legitimacy through the diversity of indigenous perspectives, languages and world cultures.
Currently I have CATT status and specialize in the masterful teaching of Anusara from decades of intensive study.
