Anna Ashby has been studying and practising yoga for 24 years and teaching for 15 years. She is one of London’s leading yoga teachers and a dedicated triyoga teacher. She is a founder and senior faculty member of triyoga’s teacher training program and holds the highest level of certification from Yoga Alliance both in the UK and in the US (E-RYT 500/Senior Teacher). Anna’s teaching style has evolved from her study of dance, in-depth training with established, classical yoga systems that focus on alignment, and a dedicated meditation practice that developed while she lived for 12 years in a yoga ashram in upstate New York. She has been teaching Restorative Yoga at triyoga for over 10 years using the weekly classes to develop and refine her teaching of the restorative practices. Chris Swain has been teaching yoga for 25 years, initially qualifying as a teacher with the Chinese Yoga Federation in 1987, then as an Iyengar yoga teacher, before being introduced to Ashtanga yoga with John Scott in London in 1999. It was whilst studying for an English Literature degree at UEA in the early 1980s that Chris came across yoga, Kempo (a martial art), Cheirology (hand reading) and meditation. During this time Chris developed a deep interest in natural healing. He moved to London in 1996 to take a 4 year degree in Osteopathy, deepening his understanding of western medical models. He is currently on the faculty for both the triyoga and Yoga Haven yoga teacher training courses and also teaches asana and anatomy based workshops incorporating his knowledge of anatomy as an osteopath. The reason he practises yoga is simple: ‘a day with yoga is better than a day without yoga’. www.chrisjswain.com
