Strength & Grace Yoga for Yoga Teachers
Teaching yoga is an art form that can be continually refined. It requires years of dedication to become masterful in the many different areas required to teach high-quality yoga classes.
With her “Strength and Grace Yoga” further education programme, Barbra Noh offers yoga teachers the opportunity to dive deep into specific topics, which are essential for successful yoga teaching:
therapeutic alignment, the art of teaching, the art of sequencing, how to structure a class, verbal adjustments and hands-on assistance.
This education programme will give you a solid tool-set with which to further develop your own authentic and inspiring expression as a yoga teacher.
Pre-requisites for taking part in this programme
This further education programme is open to all yoga teachers, who have already completed a 200-hour training AND have approximately 2 years teaching experience.

THE 100 HOUR TRAINING
Alignment Immersion | 30 hours focusing on alignment and your asana practice
Yoga is a pathway to understanding the gift of embodiment. This module is designed to transform your asana practice and expand your horizons as you discover the potential of your own body, mind and heart.
The alignment principles of Anusara Yoga provide the basic framework for the Alignment Immersion. In addition, Barbra will share a synthesis of concepts from modern scientific research and her personal insights gained from practising and teaching for over 20 years. You will learn to apply biomechanical principles that intelligently respond to the most common postural misalignments. These principles will support you in developing a practice that is suited to your individuality.
The goal is to develop a healthy and sustainable practice that can be self-guided based on a general template of alignment principles. These principles increase strength and range of movement and can be applied to any style of asana practice. The results are renewed confidence in your own capabilities coupled with a sense of freedom and joy.

Teachers’ Immersion | 30 hours devoted to the art of teaching yoga
The skill and art of teaching yoga can be continually refined. Good teaching may seem effortless, but it is in fact the artful fusion and mastery of many different techniques and tools.
This training is designed to help you expand your teaching skills. You will further develop your teaching by deepening your understanding in specific areas. You will increase your ability to create balanced, inspiring yoga classes and serve students in a way that will keep them coming back for more.
This training offers you an opportunity to exchange and share with other teachers. You will teach in small groups and receive feedback from your peers.
Barbra will guide you to advance your skills and take the “The Seat of the Teacher” with more confidence and ease.
You will receive practical support in the form of techniques and ideas for teaching yoga as a profession.

Sequencing | 15 hours study of intelligent sequencing
Intelligent Sequencing is the art of creating a class that builds towards a specific intention. The order and arrangement of asanas is devised to release tightness and open the body, while increasing strength and stability. Additionally, a well-designed class uplifts the heart and frees the spirit.
Learn how to create balanced, well-structured classes that prepare the body for specific practice goals.
Barbra will work with you to explore the following areas:
– Therapeutic sequencing
– Creative sequencing (transitions)
– Sequencing towards a peak pose
– Sequencing around an action
– Sequencing around a spiritual theme
Adjustments | 15 hours devoted to therapeutic hands-on techniques
Deepen your skills and understanding of manual adjustments. You will learn safe and effective techniques based on biomechanical and anatomical knowledge.
Adjustments are powerful techniques for enhancing a practitioner’s experience of yoga and their understanding of their body’s potential. While unskilful adjustments can cause injury, therapeutic adjustments support healing and take students out of pain and discomfort.
The hands-on adjustments you will practice directly reflect the alignment principles taught in the Alignment Immersion. These principles are highly therapeutic and intended to empower students not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. The hands-on techniques you will study are designed to support students to become more knowledgeable, independent, strong and free as they gain deeper insights into their own capacity to be in optimal alignment.
Self-Care | 10 hours study of Ayurveda, Bodywork and Yoga Therapy
The study of Self-Care is a sweet and touching journey towards deeper understanding and appreciation of your individuality. You will connect to your heart and learn how to listen to your body with wisdom and compassion.
You will learn how to awaken the natural self-healing powers of the body through Yoga, Ayurveda, Bodywork and life coaching/psychology tools.
This module will provide you with a better understanding of which lifestyle choices support you best. You will take with you concrete knowledge and practices to create balance and support your own health and vitality. You will understand how to apply yoga, bodywork and the wisdom of Ayurveda to your life from the perspective of who you are as an individual, and what is appropriate for you.
The invitation is to become your own healer by expanding your self-care toolbox – and then share that knowledge with others.
