Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher
|State or Province||
As a Certified Anusara Teacher in 2006, I was already falling in love with pregnancy as a doorway for so many women into yoga.
In 2009 I founded Ma Yoga for Pregnancy, Motherhood & Beyond, a school of yoga dedicated to supporting moms and moms-to-be through alignment-based practices and off-the-mat honed down Ayurvedic lifestyle practices for busy women, which I call MAyurveda.
After running a group visit and prenatal yoga program at Kaiser Permanente for years, as well as having more than 18,000 women come through our 10 “Mama Circles” in Southern California, I began creating our global online community.
Our online teacher trainings – The Yoga of Pregnancy, The Yoga of Healing for Women, and MAyurveda: Ayurveda for Women can be taken for continuing education, or toward the full 85-hour Yoga Alliance Prenatal Certification (RPYT).
I’ve never stopped using birth as my guru. Each day, the principles of co-creation guide me in my practice, my teaching and my life. I can’t wait to share them with you!

|What do you love most about Anusara Yoga?||
When I was looking for a teacher training in 1999, I was looking for principles I could use to get people out of pain, and into vibrant wellness.
I wanted to understand WHY and HOW yoga works.
The Anusara principles of alignment gave me this, and to this day, I use this principles to align with my highest potential.
Over two decades of working with women in their childbearing years, these principles have evolved and adapted to women’s specific challenges and opportunities.
I will always be grateful to my Anusara teachers for giving me these life-changing tools.
|Why do you teach Anusara yoga?||
I enjoy sharing principles with my students, rather than just teaching each pose differently.
It feels like I’m teaching them to fish, rather than just giving them a fish!
And it makes life so much easier for me as a teacher, as I have a checklist to make sure the practice is as transformative as possible.
|Why do you license with Anusara?||
As a Certified Ansuara Teacher, I can help teachers deepen their understand through continuing education workshops including The Yoga of Pregnancy, The Yoga of Healing for Women, and MAyurveda: Living Ayurveda for Busy Women.
I love supporting teachers on their path to making a great impact with their gifts, and enjoying their journey.
