Yoga Bio

I was initially introduced to yoga as a way of recovering from severe asthma. I was hooked halfway through my first class! After practicing Anusara® Yoga for 11 years, I pursued Anusara teacher training in 2011. I have my RYT-500 hour designation from the Yoga Alliance and became a Certified™ Anusara teacher in 2017. I live in southern Vermont (USA) with my husband and our dog Manfred. Our daughters live in northern Vermont. In addition to teaching Anusara yoga, I am the Operations Team Coordinator for the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga and am an Organizational Development and Change consultant with a focus on supporting nonprofit organizations (

What do you love most about Anusara Yoga?

I find great pleasure in watching how Anusara yoga transforms students’ lives as it has mine. Anusara yoga offers me a spiritual foundation as well as a way to stay strong and healthy physically. Lastly, I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of an international community of like-minded people.

Why do you teach Anusara yoga?

I love sharing Anusara Yoga’s focus on aligning mind, body and heart through careful movement and its roots in Tantric philosophy. Students respond so positively to Anusara’s unique combination of spirituality and thoughtful, safe physical movement.

Why do you license with Anusara?

It is a privilege and honor to be able to call myself a licensed Anusara teacher. My license represents all the hard work and dedication required to become Certified, and it signals to students a level of professionalism that gives them confidence in my ability to consistently offer a strong class. My license also is what gives me the right to use Anusara’s intellectual property (everything that constitutes the Anusara method).
