This program is for students and teachers of yoga alike. For teachers an understanding of the principles of Ayurveda will enhance their ability to observe and assist students physically, mentally and emotionally. A basic understanding of Ayurveda will deepen the teacher’s awareness and connection to the cycle of the seasons and what type of impact this has on our physical and psychological state. This will enable teachers to plan classes and workshops that are in harmony with the seasons. Even if teachers never go on to formally teach about Ayurveda the information in this module will support their own self-care by deepening their understanding of their own specific dietary and lifestyle needs.
This module can be 10-15 hours long, and these hours can be used towards electives for the 300 hour Teacher Training.
