Sara Worden weaves Anusara alignment principles and Tantric philosophy into her Restorative Therapeutic Yoga workshops, classes, and private sessions.
In our day and age, Restorative Yoga is more important than ever! Restorative yoga turns on the Parasympathetic Nervous System and the Relaxation Response to nourish and harmonize all systems of the body. It is the perfect compliment to yang activities (asana, running, strength training, etc) and is a powerful Complimentary Alternative Medicine for stress and any related illnesses.
All yoga teachers will benefit from knowing how to teach restorative yoga. Whether adding in a restorative posture at the end of class, designing special workshops to expand their offerings, or working with an individual client. Being able to offer restorative yoga will bring a depth to their teachings that will serve their communities immensely.
Sara’s mother introduced her to yoga when she was a teenager and it has been an important part of her life ever since. Sara has completed over 460 hours of yoga teacher trainings (Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, and Anusara®). She also studies Body-Mind Centering and incorporates these elements into her own practice and yoga classes.
