"Nondual Shaiva Tantra: Its Sources, Essential Texts, and Essence Teachings
Fulfills the Philosophy Module Requirement in the 300-Hour Anusara Teacher Training
Open to all Yoga Students and Teachers

8 Three-hour Philosophy Sessions:
1. January 11: Introduction and Overview. What is Yoga? Three Main Sources of Yoga: Veda, Vedanta, and Shramanas
2. January 25: Renunciatory Path: Buddhism, Yoga Sutras, the Samkhya tattvas, plus the revolutionary Bhagavad Gita
3. February 8: Intro to Tantra: its History, the Essence Texts, the essential teachings. Introduce the “maps” of consciousness into manifestation and limitation.
4. February 22: The maps: 5 Powers, 36 Tattvas, 5 Acts of Shiva, 3 Goddesses, 5 Koshas, 4 levels of the Word
5. March 8: The Shiva Sutras with the 3 Malas and 3 Upayas, 5 states of Consciousness. Overview of the first half of the Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam
6. March 22: Overview of second half of Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam, Purification, Yoga in daily life.
7. April 13: Intro to the Vijñānabhairava Tantra
8. April 27: Finish Vijñānabhairava, concluding activities

Schedule: 8 Saturdays
• January 11 and 25, February 8 and 22, March 8 and 22, April 13 and 27: 2 – 5 PM EST, 20:00 – 23:00 Central Europe time
• From January to March, I will be teaching live from my friend’s studio in Hawaii. In April, I teach from my home in the eastern U.S.
