Dear Anusara yoga teacher trainer,
As many of you are aware, along with being an independent licensing and yoga education organization, the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga (our School) is also a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with the USA based organization Yoga Alliance (YA). Yoga Alliance has recently informed us that they are restructuring their organization and have terminated their Affiliate Program. Yoga Alliance’s Affiliate Program allowed our members to freely list their studios under our RYS and automatically gain RYS status without having to complete the costly Yoga Alliance RYS application process. Unfortunately the affiliate program is no longer available and therefore action is required if teacher trainers wish to continue offering trainings under our School’s RYS ($0-$55 USD), rather than apply for their own RYS through Yoga Alliance (an initial fee of $640 USD).
Please note that this change in Yoga Alliance’s policy only applies to LEAD teacher trainers (the person who signs your teacher training graduation certificates). Please read the following options then, REPLY TO THIS LETTER by notifying us of the option that best suits your needs (option #1 or option #2) or, reply with “Not Applicable” if:
- You already have your own RYS,
- Yoga Alliance has little to no value in your country/region and therefore do not need your trainings to be recognized by Yoga Alliance or,
- You are no longer offering teacher trainings.
- You are not a Registered Yoga Teacher member of Yoga Alliance (ERYT200/ERYT500)

For lead teacher trainers who want to lead teacher trainings directly under our School’s RYS and have our School will provide your students with Yoga Alliance approved certificates: |
OPTION #2 ($75.00 USD) (Update July 2021: $75 for 21-2022 year) For lead teacher trainers who have their own studio or business location and want to issue teacher training graduates their own personally designed certificate |
| Yoga Alliance qualified Teacher Trainers who are not listed under a specific location (see Option 2), will be understood as working directly under our School’s RYS designation. Depending on the program, our School will either provide the teacher trainers with an Anusara School of Hatha Yoga graduation certificate to give to their students or send a certificate directly to the student upon completion of their teacher training. Yoga Alliance will no longer accept your personalized certificates. | Yoga Alliance now requires that you list your studio location under our School’s RYS. This applies to Yoga Alliance qualified teacher trainers who meet the following criteria:
Teachers registering as locations, will be receive an invoice from our School for the $75 USD annual listing fee ($25 Anusara processing fee and $50 location fee, per location, that our School pays to Yoga Alliance to list your location under ours. Teacher trainers will still be required to register their teacher trainings and submit their training-information-sheets. Teachers advertising their teacher trainings under our RYS are expected to comply with Yoga Alliance’s lead teacher requirements.

- You already have your own RYS,
- Yoga Alliance has little to no value in your country/region and therefore do not need your trainings to be recognized by Yoga Alliance or,
- You are no longer offering teacher trainings.
- You are not a registered member of Yoga Alliance
