About this event
In the Tantric understanding, saṃhāra—dissolution or reabsorption—is one of the five acts of Śiva: the return of manifest form into its source. This act isn’t confined to the end of physical life. It is present throughout life: in the completion of a breath, the vanishing of a thought, the shifting of bodily sensation… and the ending of a chapter of life.
Many of us meet endings by bracing, grasping, distracting ourselves, or immediately reaching for what comes next. We may know intellectually that change is inevitable while still finding it difficult to remain present when something familiar is no longer available to us.
Endings aren’t always obvious. Becoming more attuned to the felt sense of completion can help us recognize when something is changing, when a cycle has run its course, and when we are standing at the edge of what comes next.
This isn’t a workshop in grief work or “letting go,” and it doesn’t romanticize or treat dissolution as easy, pleasant, or spiritually tidy. It’s an embodied exploration of the Tantric understanding of dissolution: an opportunity to become more intimate with the endings that continually shape—and are woven into—the texture of life.
Inside this workshop you'll...
Notice how endings are experienced in the body—the subtle ways we brace, grasp, speed up, check out, or reach toward what comes next
Explore the charged space between what has ended and what has not yet begun, without rushing to fill it
Encounter saṃhāra as a direct experience: dissolution and reabsorption felt through movement, breath, sensation, and awareness
Attend to the completion of a cycle before attention moves toward the next beginning
Develop a more refined capacity to recognize when something is completing, changing, or ready to give way to what comes next
