About this event
This yoga holiday retreat will feature 2 classes daily, morning and afternoon, with assistant teachers usually present in all classes, so you will receive ample personal guidance and attention, with individual adjustments and modifications, where appropriate. One afternoon during the week is ‘off’ to allow excursions, tourist activities, or simply rest and relaxation.
The morning class is a more yang dynamic class, with flowingbreath-led vinyasa and a broad spectrum of asana that build energy, flexibility and strength while deeply honouring the natural rhythms and construction of the human anatomy. Precision of alignment is balanced by circular and spiral movement patterns with particular emphasis on joint care and ease of movement. The afternoon class is a yin class featuring deeply restorative asana alongside postures inspired by Taoist yoga that stimulate and balance the subtle body and the multi-dimensional web of connective tissues, offering a profoundly effective platform to embrace the purity of presence and enquiry into the many facets of being. Thomas Hanna inspired somatic movement education is infused within many of the led classes. The Great Yoga Wall is also utilised during the retreat, offering further variety to your practice benefits and experience.
