About this event

🌕 GURU PURNIMA 🌕
Celebratory Community Anusara®️ yoga class
With Hristinka Maslarska , CATT

The first full moon after the Summer Solstice, during the month of Ashadha, is celebrated throughout the yogic tradition as Guru Purnima.

According to the ancient teachings, this is the day when Adiyogi Shiva, the first Yogi, shared the science of Yoga with the Saptarishis—the seven great sages—marking the beginning of an unbroken lineage of wisdom that continues to inspire practitioners around the world.

In the Anusara tradition, Guru Purnima is a sacred opportunity to pause in gratitude: to honor our teachers, the lineage that has illuminated our path, and ultimately the inner Guru—the light of Consciousness that resides within every heart.

Every Anusara practice begins with Opening to Grace, recognizing that we are already connected to something infinitely wise, loving, and whole. Guru Purnima reminds us that the purpose of the teacher is not to give us something we lack, but to awaken us to what has always been present.

✨ We warmly invite our local community to celebrate this special evening together.

Whether you are an experienced yogi or stepping onto a yoga mat for the very first time, you are welcome to join us for an evening of movement, breath, philosophy, and heartfelt connection.
