Carmel took her first yoga class in 1989 in Iyengar Yoga. 10 years later she met John Friend in Brooklyn, NY for a weekend workshop. 3 1/2 years later Carmel was certified at the top of a mountain in Utah at Inner Harmony Retreat Center in June of 2003. Carmel opened Yoga Anjali in the same year and has been teaching since 1996.
