Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher

What is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher?

Certified Anusara yoga teachers (CATs) are highly skilled at teaching the Anusara yoga method. The “Certified Anusara” license indicates that a teacher has over 500-hours of Anusara training (including the 300-hour Anusara teacher training). They have taught Anusara yoga for at least two years and have a minimum of four years of teaching experience. They have passed a 30-hour exam demonstrating their knowledge in yoga philosophy and the Anusara yoga method.

Certified Anusara teachers have skillfully demonstrated the ability to teach the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment™, the heart of the Anusara method.

The demanding Anusara yoga training course curriculum makes the Anusara yoga method distinct from many others teaching systems.

Earning the licensed membership title of “Certified Anusara Teacher” is the result of many years of devoted practice and training in multiple fields of yogic studies.

Certified teachers are trained in biomechanics, yogic philosophy, anatomy, effective teaching language, class theming, therapeutics, alignment principles, and more….

    • Submit application form with credit hour log and copy of mentor’s UCAF.
    • Payment of application fee
  2. Certification Process:
    • Written exam
    • Class assessment process with a Certified Anusara assessor
  3. License purchase
    • Sign license agreement contract
    • Payment of annual license fee (prorated if applying in the middle of your membership year)
