We chatted with our mentor copy Meet Our Mentor – Letizzia Wastavino about her experience with Anusara and why she decided to become an Anusara mentor!
Tell us about yourself.
I am Letizzia Wastavino, a Certified Anusara teacher, studio owner, and mentor. I am Chilean, but I live in Austria. I have worked behind the scenes in the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga, first as a Country Coordinator and now also a member of theBoard of Directors. I have been teaching Anusara for more than 12 years and have been practicing yoga for more than 30 years.
Why did you choose to become a mentor?
I love to teach teachers, I love to share whatever tips or tools work for me and my students.
I also love the Anusara method; my goal is to share it with as many people as possible.
Tell us about your session. What is it about? What will teachers learn?
People often tell me that I have eyes in the back of my head!! I am observant and see whether a posture is creating more difficulty than happiness in my students. With this in mind, I will share the most common misalignments and tips on how to correct them. This mentoring class will help participants refine their eye and use the Anusara tools to adjust their students.
We will focus on a group of poses and go deeper into the poses.
Do you have an inspiring message for our students and members?
What I feel makes Anusara so different and so unique is the richness of the knowledge our teachers have. We will learn together about the most common misalignments, and together we will sharpen our observation skills.
