Dear Anusara Teacher Trainers,

I’d like to first thank all those who registered their trainings in 2020 and provided us with feedback on how to improve the training registration fee calculation so that the fee is more accessible to all.

As you all know, we are a community. In the same way teachers pay license fees as a way of contributing to our overall financial well-being and sustainability, with this fee, we are asking that teacher training students also contribute in exchange (through the payment of their training tuition) for receiving course content that was developed by the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga community (our School). This amount is reinvested into supporting our School and its intellectual property, which includes: the continued development of new teacher training materials, manuals and curricula, as well as updates made to current materials. Although we initially hoped that 2.5% would be an appropriate amount for trainers to increase their tuition fees by, in order to include this as a student expense and not a teacher trainer expense, we now understand that this is challenging for many. Therefore we are providing teachers with the following option.

To adjust to this new reality, effective immediately, teacher trainers whose trainings end in 2021, may now declare studio rental or online platform training expenses. This means that if 30% of your students tuition is allocated towards the studio rental fees, you may indicate the approximate U.S. dollar amount of that 30% on the training registration form and we will deduct that amount before calculating your 2.5% fee amount. Here are the formulas we will follow:

2.5% registration fee calculation for trainings that ended in 2020:
(Total gross student tuition collected – VAT or sales tax if applicable) x 0.025 = registration fee

2.5% registration fee calculation for trainings that ending in 2021:
(Total gross student tuition collected – studio rental expense portion of training – VAT or sales tax if applicable) x 0.025 = registration fee

The end of training form will ask you the following questions:

  1. What was the final amount that each student paid to attend the training (including student list, Anusara Elements recommendations and e-mails to contact those you recommended)?
  2. Of the total tuition collected how much was allocated to VAT/sales tax (if applicable)?
  3. Of the total tuition collected how much was allocated to studio rental fees or online platform fees directly related to your teacher training (if applicable)?

All courses that use manuals or curricula provided by the School require 2.5% training registration:

  • 100 or 200-hour Immersion/Teacher Training
  • 300-hour Teacher Training
    • Required modules: All require registration
    • Elective modules: Only Women & Yoga and Yoga for Seniors modules
  • Therapeutic trainings that use the Therapeutic Applications to Anusara Yoga -Guide for Teachers as the course manual (available for purchase on March 2, 2021 from the Anusara Store)

Registering your trainings is the only way the School’s Licensing Specialist can validate your students’ hours and that we can nurture the next generation of Anusara yogis and continued expansion of our community. Please:

  1. BEFORE YOUR TRAINING START DATE fill out this form
  2. AT THE END OF YOUR TRAINING fill out this form and we will send you an invoice. You may submit this form long before your training is complete provided you are not expecting any more students to register for your training.

Your trainning registration fee is due no later than 30-days of your training registration end date.
