Samavesha – to immerse oneself into something one is already a part of, to unite with the whole that one was never separate from, to come together as one kula to learn, collaborate, practice, and grow.
Samavesha 2014 was held in the desert foothills of Arizona, and this year Anusara yogis from all over the world will gather on the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard, off of the coast of Massachusetts for 6 days of asana, meditation, teacher training, philosophy workshops, kirtan, and FUN!
The festival will run from September 29 – October 4 at the beautiful Vineyard Arts Project campus in Edgartown, MA. The island of Martha’s Vineyard is accessible by ferry boat and airplane. The closest airports are Boston Logan and T.F. Green in Providence. The comfortable and luxurious accommodations at Vineyard Arts Project are steps away from the quaint village center of Edgartown. Delicious, locally grown breakfast and lunch option will be available, or walk to town for a quick bite. Aside from the 48 beds located on premises, there are hotels, bed and breakfast, rental homes and a very affordable hostel nearby. World-class restaurants, cozy cafes, historic attractions, art galleries, and beautiful beaches are within easy walking distance. The Vineyard Transit Authority offers island-wide bus service for a nominal fee so you can visit the other towns on Martha’s Vineyard too!
