I’ve practiced yoga since 1987 starting with Swami Satchidananda’s Integral Yoga. I studied Iyengar Yoga for many years with Clayton Aynesworth and Devon Dederich. When I met John Friend, he was still teaching Iyengar Yoga. I’ve taken John’s Therapy trainings and studied Thai massage with Jonas Westring. From 1993 till 1999, I studied with one of the first Anusara certified teachers, Mary Keator. I did my immersion with Charly Pivert and also with Christina Sell both of whom I still practice with when I can. I’ve really been blessed with amazing teachers on this path. Aside from teaching Yoga, I am a painter. My painting website is bedery.com. I’ve done the CD covers for my brother Gerard Edery who has been an internationally recognized musician since 1990. I was born in Morocco in 1956 the year of the independence from France. I lived in Paris when I was young but at 6 we moved to New York where I grew up. I currently reside in Austin, Texas.
