October 11, 2023 - October 28, 2023397USD – 447USD
The Yoga of Healing is an online therapeutics training based in the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment™, but using women’s bodies as the basis for all practices. We’ll apply our principles to address the unique challenges and opportunities of the childbearing years, on all levels: physical, mental/ emotional, energetic and spiritual.
In the process, you’ll become more confident relieving both common aches and pains like back, neck, knee and wrist that are even more prevalent during pregnancy and postpartum, as well as helping prevent and heal childbirth-related conditions such as infertility, diastasis recti (abdominal wall splitting), pelvic instability and more.

Jessica Jennings, MS, ERYT-500, RYPT became a Certified Anusara Instructor in 2006. She created the Ma Yoga® Prenatal Certification Program (RPYT) in 2012 as a way to share what she had come to call the “Five Sacred Steps”: the Universal Principles adapted to the particular needs, challenges and opportunities of women in their childbearing years.
Jessica’s passion for teaching yoga to moms and moms-to-be started in 2001, when she was asked after her first teacher training to teach a prenatal class at the first Anusara studio in Los Angeles.
In 2003, Jessica developed and ran a group visit and prenatal yoga program in the Ob/Gyn Department at Kaiser Hospital as a Lifestyle Educator as part of her Masters in Kinesiology. After six years of seeing how life-changing it was for moms-to-be to share yoga, education and laughter on their journey to motherhood and beyond, Jessica left in 2009 to train and help yoga teachers start their own “Mama Circles” in their own neighborhoods.
Ma Yoga soon grew to more than ten locations in the Southern California area with more than 18,000 women coming through classes to feel great, prepare for labor and enjoy their journey to motherhood and beyond.
When Covid quarantine happened, the Ma Yoga teacher tribe moved their Prenatal, Mom, and Ma Yoga for Everyone classes online and began to serve mamas globally.
Similarly, the 85-hour Ma Yoga Certification Program (RPYT) went from half online to all-live online, and has now certified teachers all across the US and around the world.
The program is a transformational deep dive into yoga practices and principles for women, on and off the mat.
It includes prenatal training, therapeutics for women’s changing bodies, and “Mayurveda” – self-care, daily rhythm and food-as-medicine routines for busy women.
So much more than a prenatal training, Ma” means mother in just about every language, for instance Italian: “Madre”, Latvian: “Māte”, Norwegian: “Mamma” or “Mor”, Persian: “Madr”…
In Sanskrit, “ma” also means the highest, most powerful, wise and nurturing, as in “Ma Kali”, the Mother of all Goddesses.
Whether we’re pregnant with an idea, a vision or a new way of being in the world, when we learn to truly nurture ourselves, we begin to embody into our highest, most powerful and wise “Ma” Self.

What people are saying about The Yoga of Healing:
[The Yoga of Healing] has been so helpful for me! Because I just finished an Anusara-based 200 hr yoga teacher training this past November, jumping into the Five Sacred Steps with you has felt so satisfying. I feel like I was able to take the framework I had and then apply your Ma Yoga lens and everything started to fall into place. Ma Yoga has helped me finally find it in my body.
After the Yoga of Healing, I feel more confident in understanding the bodies and their alignments. I have been teaching Anusara for 7 years now, but I was never this aware how universal the principles actually are. You revealed that to me in The Yoga of Healing course.
My experience was fantastic, I thought I would have wrist pain forever, but just by learning to support my weight in my shoulders, I have started to alleviate this issue. It was wonderful to learn that we are more powerful than we know and be given the tools to use this power and gentleness.

With no background in teaching yoga, the Therapeutics training really helped me be more confident in my ability to teach. The training was very interactive and hands on which also made me more confident in being able to teach others. Thank you Ma Yoga!
– Jordan Smith
I had a wonderful experience – it was definitely more than I imagined it to be. I walked away with new tools and principles that I can use on myself and others. I’m excited to review all of the material and to start putting what I learned to use immediately. I really appreciate being able to download the handouts, it’s nice to be able to revisit the handouts in the member area.
– Jasmine Walker-Creighton
Thank you for sharing with us your knowledge about bio mechanics of the body, energy flow and mindful movement. I really appreciate you taking us in such an awesome journey through the body’s anatomy and it was really amazing to be able to feel the different alignments ourselves. And at the very end of the training I feel confident enough to be able to recognize misalignments and have the tools to guide a student into a better and more optimal position. Feeling the changes and benefits in our own body was key to be able to understanding all the principles of Ma Yoga!
– Andrea Myers
Jessica, the alignment principles I learned in your therapeutics workshop last weekend was completely evolutionary for my practice in mind, body, and spirit. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for this priceless gift. I hope some day to embody a fraction of the goddess energy that radiates from you.

Including therapeutics into the (200-hr) training is essential for any new yoga teacher—giving them tools for students who come into their classes with common ailments. Our trainees… were able to experience alignment from a different perspective – and most had transformations in their own practice as well. Jessica and her team are dynamic educators; she is prepared, knowledgeable, and passionate about healing through alignment. We look forward to working with Jessica and Ma Yoga again!

I just love how everything is based in the five alignment principles. It was hard to get at first, but eventually I got it and it’s so helpful not just for yoga but for life.
Like I fully stepped into my power today and told some people I didn’t want to do this thing that I felt pressured to do.
Before this whole training with you I would have just sucked it up, I feel bad, but now I’m like “this doesn’t feel good to me” and I know how to find my power and stand in it.
I LOVED the training and feel so much more confident helping people out of pain! It’s definitely changed how I approach cueing my classes now, and though I’m sure they will evolve so much over time, I don’t think I’ll ever stop using the 5 principles 🙂
